Rowan Allan BSc (Hons) MRICS FAAV

Partner

A Chartered Surveyor & fellow of the CAAV, Rowan is also very much a local Sussex man and joined H J Burt in the early 1990s. Rowan combines his time with heading up the Country & Agricultural Agency selling & letting a wide spread of rural property and then time on Professional Valuation & Consultancy work as an RICS Registered Valuer, including on a wide variety of property encompassing residential, agricultural, equestrian, forestry and commercial elements, plus advising on development potential. Between balancing his time with his young family and equally keen horse riders, Rowan enjoys rooting himself in the local community and including many years spent as Secretary to the West Grinstead & District Ploughing & Agricultural Society.

Robert Turner MNAEA

Associate Partner & Henfield Branch Manager

Robert joined HJ Burt in 2014 to run the Henfield branch and after a Sussex estate agency career spanning over 25 years. Robert’s depth of knowledge & expertise covers a very wide base and including all aspects of the residential property market which enables him to expertly advise clients on the wide range of property sales and lettings covered by HJ Burt. A highly personable and approachable professional, Robert is a Sussex man at heart and thoroughly enjoys his family time in the mid Sussex area of this beautiful county, and also regularly watches Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex.

Julie Langmaid MARLA

Associate Partner & Lettings Manager

As HJ Burt’s head of Lettings since 2014, Julie brings with her a huge amount of lettings experience & local knowledge, having worked within the industry since 1997 and having dealt with a wide range of property types and managed property portfolios. ARLA qualified & born & bred in Sussex, Julie spreads her time with not only being a highly efficient and successful letting agent, but also being a full time mum and a very keen horsewoman!

David Kiley MARLA

Property Manager

David joined HJ Burt in Nov 2019 as Property Manager for our busy Lettings Department. Having worked in the industry since 2006, David brings over 14 years Lettings & Property Management experience and is customer focused as well fully ARLA qualified. David moved from Twickenham to Sussex with his family seven years ago and loves the area. As a keen marathon runner David has completed numerous ultra marathons and other events for charities.

Jeremy Whittingham ANAEA MARLA

Sales Manager

Jeremy heads HJ Burt’s Town & Village property sales in Steyning. Jeremy has a wealth of experience as an agent having worked for both independent and corporate agencies for more than 25 years and in both sales & lettings. Having lived in the Brighton & Hove area for most of his life, Jeremy and his family are also regular Seagulls supporters at the Amex.

Luke Green BD

Sales Negotiator

Luke joined HJ Burt initially as a Property Manager for our busy Lettings Department but ‘changed desks’ and now works alongside Rowan on Country Property Sales and also with Jeremy on Town & Village homes. Having completed a degree in Divinity, he had a calling from the world of property and this is now his chosen career and bringing with it his excellent lines of client communication, an essential ingredient to successful sales negotiation and progression. A man with many strings to his bow, he is also a qualified personal trainer and strives to keep the team in great shape!

Louise Davis

Sales Negotiator

Louise joined H J Burt Henfield in 2019 bringing her infectious enthusiasm and vast experience after a successful career with independent estate agencies in Hurstpierpoint and Burgess Hill. Having an excellent reputation for her exemplary customer service, Louise has a particular knack of matching people to the right property. In addition, she lives in Hurstpierpoint with her family and particularly enjoys watching her growing sons play cricket and rugby.

Fiona Mcgillivray BA

Assistant Office Manager

Fiona joined HJ Burt in 2007 with a wealth of administrative and IT experience and now works alongside Natalie at the Steyning office and keeping the essential administration, accounts and marketing machine fully engaged! Whilst a hardy Scot at heart, Sussex has been Fiona’s home for much of her life and her family now spend many happy hours walking and cycling in and around the Steyning area.

Steyning Office Manager

Natalie joined HJ Burt in 2015 as office manager and bringing with her a wealth of administrative experience. Working alongside Fiona at the busy Steyning office, together they form the beating heart of the office and the backbone to keeping us all on the straight and narrow! Born and bred in West Sussex she is the creative one of the team with a talent for arts & crafts.

Debbie Zoutewelle BA (Hons) MA

Negotiator

Debbie worked part time for a number of years at the Steyning office and now works at both offices, assisting Robert and Louise at the Henfield during the week. She is an incredibly enthusiastic member of the sales team, constantly sharing her wisdom and passion for the Henfield and Steyning, whilst being the first point of contact for many prospective buyers and tenants visiting the area for the first time. Debbie is also an accomplished artist.
